Christine McCray Bethea calls Pittsburgh's home but has lived all over the world as the daughter of a career NCO in the United States Air Force. Her events background was honed by working for some of the city's most creative institutions, KQV News, KDKA-TV, Kaufmann's, Comcast, the East Liberty Chamber of Commerce and several other companies with "k" sounds in their title. She became the founding force behind The Geek Art/Green Innovators Festival in 2010 after attending a meeting between Tree Pittsburgh and Hack Pittsburgh. She jokingly said: " We artists, geeks and greenies should get together more often." GA/GI Fest was born.
