live action painter Kevin Wenner, who will be
working in a large format painting on cargo paper.

creates high-impact, digital prints by painting
with robots. Gordon Kirkwood photographs
lightning bolts, and high voltage Kirlian photos of
everyday objects. Music by Besame! The group specializes in Latin American music, with special emphasis on the sounds of Colombia. Their unique musical combination was born in 2005, when Jorge Delgado, Paul Cindric and Melissa Alliston were invited to play at the Colombian
Independence Day celebration hosted by Colombia in Pittsburgh.
The infamous Roger Day was added a few months later to complete their sound.

March of the Fashionistas, GA/GI’s newly
formatted fashion showcase. The hottest eco,
tech and vintage-inspired designers and boutique
owners will showcase their clothing, their
own creations or share fashion tips. Plus live
glassblowing demonstrations will be ongoing
and “Aspire: A Retrospective of Young Talent”
will be on view in the Hodge Gallery. This event

PLUS... Glass Center special guest:
POWER FLOWER & LIQUID LIGHT! The 12' tall solar and wind energy harnessing sculpture Power Flower will be outside the Glass Center. This year the flower will be powering an internally lighted stream of water in an exhibition called Liquid Light. Water is transformed into a crystal clear state called "Laminar Flow" and has the ability carry and bend light, much like a fiber optic cable. GA/GI goers can get some fun hands-on playtime and make a splash that will not be forgotten. Thunderbolts of lighting!

a dynamic exploration into the art of Steelpan construction, history, and playing techniques!
Enjoy light refreshments as master artist Phil Solomon
(Solomon Steelpan Company and Steel Impressions) and Mat Docktor (Steel
Impressions and SOUNDWAVES Youth Steelband Ensemble instructor) share the
instruments. Come by and learn about a whole new side of the steel city!
